Side Dish - Madame Tussaud's Wax "Museum" - Las Vegas, NV 5/21/10

When one thinks of Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, the original spectacle in London, England first springs to mind. Lifelike statues, grand halls, a fascinating instruction room detailing the history and preparation of each figure, an amazing motorized ride through London's colorful past, a hall of horrors echoing Jack the Ripper complete with dry ice and realistic victims popping up at every turn. Delightful, really.....

This ain't London, England.

If we're comparing all things English....let's then compare the Las Vegas version of Madame Tussaud's to a 70's bottle of English Leather.

Liz Taylor here looks more like my Aunt Carole.
Jenna Jameson?? More like our local Cougar scouting Elway's Restaurant for her latest victim.
Is that Bea Arthur??What more is there to say about a place where we dropped a cool $60 for all of 10 minutes.......However, one must ask, is there ANY research done on the likenesses of the figures here. Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz and Prince statues literally had us crying tears of laughter at how bad they truly were.

  1. A client suggested that I place a "nice painting" rather higher up on the wall of my dental surgery, so that she could see while dental work was being done for her. A good idea, I thought, to distract clients.
My nurse found and ordered this canvas print, http://en.wahooart.com/A55A04/w.nsf/OPRA/BRUE-7Z5Q5K, by Gustav Klimt, by browsing to wahooart.com who made our excellent print from their database of images from western art.
